Gond Ki Raab
Generally during the winter months, raab is included for breakfast. It provides the vital energy required for the day.
    Preparation Method
  1. On a low flame, heat ghee in a pan.
  2. Sauté the gum powder for 2 minutes.
  3. Add hot water. Stir till the gum dissolves completely. Add jaggery. Stir till it melts.
  4. Add the almonds and sunth - piprimul powders. Stir and boil for a minute. Serve hot.
    Additional Note
  • Raab is also given every day to women after pregnancy and childbirth.
    It is also served to people after fasts.

~ INGREDIENTS ~
  1. 1 teaspoon bavaliya gundar (coarse powder)
  2. 1/2 teaspoon piprimul powder
  3. 1/2 teaspoon sunth powder
  4. 1 1/2 teaspoons jaggery
  5. 3 almonds (fine slivers - optional)
  6. 2 teaspoons ghee
  7. 1 cup water (hot)
