Versatile ladies' fingers are a favourite vegetable that should be cooked with care.
- Wash and wipe each lady's finger with a cloth.
- Trim the ends. Slice evenly lengthwise or into rounds.
- On a low flame, heat oil in a pan. Add asafoetida, vegetable, turmeric powder and salt. Mix gently.
- Occasionally toss the vegetable. Cook till tender. Add other spices. Toss and cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Switch off the gas. Serve hot.
