Banana Raita
Sweet and sour, this raita is relished with parathas or rotis.
    Preparation Method
  1. Peel bananas. Slice them or cut them into small cubes.
  2. In a bowl, to beaten curds, add all the dry ingredients. Gently fold in, the cut bananas. Serve.
    Additional Note
  • This raita also tastes delicious with coarsely pounded mustard seeds. Avoid use of saffron and cardamoms. Add salt to taste. Garnish with cut coriander leaves.

  1. 250 grams fresh curds (beaten)
  2. 3 medium size ripe bananas
  3. 1 teaspoon raisins (optional)
  4. 2 teaspoons cashew nut pieces (optional)
  5. 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder (optional)
  6. pinch of saffron paste (optional)
  7. castor sugar to taste
