Paneer Tikka Masala
Mouth watering paneer recipe in Jain style can't get better than this.

Preparation Method

      For Marinating Paneer
    1. Cut the paneer in medium sizes. Mix all the ingredients for marinating paneer (except for oil). Mix well and keep aside for an hour.
    2. After an hour heat oil in a griddle and put the marinated mixture in it. Sauté it properly till the paneer turns light golden brown. Switch off the flame and keep aside.
      For Gravy
    1. Blend the tomatoes in a mixer to form a purée. Keep aside.
    2. Grind the cashew nuts in a mixer to form its powder. Keep aside.
    3. Mix the corn flour with some water. Keep aside.
    4. In a pan, heat oil. Add cumin seeds and bay leaf to the heated oil. Let the cumin seeds crackle.
    5. Add the tomato purée, powdered cashew nuts, red chilli powder, dhana-jeera powder, garam masala, sugar and salt. Cook this until the oil separates from it. Then add the corn flour (mixed with water). Mix well.
    6. Finally add the marinated paneer pieces and sauté it well. Cook for a few minutes.
    7. Garnish it with coriander leaves. Serve hot.

    1. 250 grams cottage cheese (Paneer)
    2. 3 tablespoons curds
    3. 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
    4. 1/2 teaspoon dhana-jeera powder
    5. 1/4 teaspoon garam masala
    6. 1 tablespoon oil
    7. salt to taste
    8. For Gravy
    9. 4 large tomatoes
    10. 7-8 cashew nuts
    11. 1 tablespoon cumin seeds
    12. 2 teaspoon red chilli powder
    13. 1 teaspoon dhana-jeera powder
    14. 1 teaspoon punjabi masala
    15. 1/4 teaspoon garam masala
    16. 2 teaspoon corn flour
    17. 1 1/2 teaspoon sugar
    18. 1 bay leaf
    19. Oil
    20. salt to taste
    21. coriander leaves (to garnish)
