Pakke Kele Ke Chilke Ki Sabzi
Only peels of the ripe bananas are cooked with spices. This vegetable is very popular and may be eaten
    Preparation Method
  1. Peel bananas. Discard the thin strings from the peels. Thoroughly wash and clean the peels. Cut them into small pieces.
  2. Heat oil in a pan. Add asafoetida and the peels. Cover the pan with a lid. Pour water on it for vaporization. Cook till the peels are tender.
  3. Make batter of the gram or wheat flour and water.
  4. Add batter and dry spices to the cooked peels.
  5. Mix well. Stir the mixture in one direction only till the gravy thickens to individual taste.
  6. Cook for 2 minutes. Switch off the gas. Garnish. Serve hot.
    Additional Note
  • This vegetable can be prepared without flour.
    Proportionally reduce the spices.
    The fruit of the banana may be used for making raita or sabzi.

  8. 1 cup water
  9. 4 tablespoons oil
  10. salt to taste
  11. For the Batter
  12. 2 tablespoons bengal gram flour or wheat flour
  13. 1 cup water
  14. To Garnish (optional)
  15. 2 teaspoons coconut (grated)
  16. 2 teaspoons coriander leaves (finely cut)
