Fresh green grams: the main ingredient of this sheera echoes the winter season. It is transformed to an unusual mouth-watering dessert.
- Soak green grams in enough water for 4 hours. Drain. Grind them to a coarse paste.
- On a low flame, melt ghee in a heavy bottomed pan. Add the paste. Stir occasionally. Cook till the mixture changes colour. Add water or milk.
- Stir continuously, till the liquid is absorbed. Add sugar. Stir till the mixture thickens.
- Garnish and serve hot.
Remove skin from soaked green grams before grinding.
